About the car

The rounded Spider became internationally famous in The Graduate. Duetto was the winning suggestion in a naming competition, but a rights conflict meant the car was sold as Spider 1600. Alfa Romeo promoted its American debut by displaying cars aboard an Italian ocean liner.
